Born July 1, 2011

Thank you for visiting!

Hello. My name is Jacob Andrew Glover. I was born on July 1, 2011 at 5:16 PM. I was 4# 6oz and 16 1/2" long. My wonderful daddy and mommy are Shawn and Amber Glover of Austin, PA. I also have 2 brothers Aiden Joe age 3 and Aric James Age 23 months!

I spent my first 34 days of life in the NICU at the Dubois Regional Medical Center. I spent 4 days at the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.

I was born with a Unilateral Complete Cleft Lip and a bilateral complete palate. Later I was diagnosed with hemifacial microsemia. We will be taking trips to the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital as well as various other doctors in our local area. I am also going to be having multiple surgerys over the next several years!

I am one lucky boy to have so many people who love me! My mommy tells me I am a perfect gift from god! There have been so many people who have been there for me and my family and we are truly blessed and want to thank each and everyone of you who have called, wrote , and PRAYED for me and my family! We love you all!

I am a fighter and we know I have a long road ahead but with the help of my family and all the people who love me we can do this! With God all things are possible

8/9/2001

Yippy Jacob Andrew is finally home! Jacob got to leave Pittsburgh Childrens yesterday 8/8/2011. His grandparents got to hold him for the first time and he spent his very first night in his home! Today 8/9/2011 he got to meet his brothers. Aiden is very curious about him and Aric just went about his day. He also had an appt with his pediatrician today in Coudersport and he got a great report he is growing like a weed! He will go back to Pittsburgh Childrens in 2 weeks for a follow up to see what the next step in his journey is. The best part of the day today was me getting to hold him. I waited so long to hold that little angel. I got to see him and touch him in the hospital but theres nothing like snuggling with him. It made my heart happy! We woud like to thank everyone who has called and messaged us on facebook offering donations for the benefit along with buying firewood tickets and bracelets! This is an awesome family and they are so excited about the support and prayers they are getting!

Thank you
Heather

Jacob

As christmas approaches and everyone is spending time with there families we ask that you keep Jacob and his family in your prayers. Jacob is gearing up for his second surgery in Jan. This surgery will also be on his lip and nose! There has been some good news. Since his last surgery where they started the repair on his nose , lip and also placed a tube in his good ear. He now has good hearing in that ear . But remains completely deaf in the other. His little face is taking on a beautiful new shape! There have been many trips to CHOP for check ups and pre surgery things. He is doing well and growing like a weed. There have been alot of unexpected bumps along the way. Special plugs for his ear, as well as many supplies to take care of his face from the last surgery! All in all he is doing great! We just ask that as you lay down at night with your families that you give them each hugs and kisses and tell him how special they are to you. Also once again please keep little Jacob in your prayers for a smooth surgery and quick healing!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Heather
